James Kent is the Clinical Lead Pharmacist at Southend University Hospital NHS Trust. Prior to this he has been a clinical pharmacist within the NHS for more years than he likes to admit to. For the past 5 years James has also worked as the Secondary Care Lead for PrescQIPP, which is an organisation which seeks to support the Medicines Optimisation agenda through the delivery of evidence based resources. This PrescQIPP role has allowed him to focus on a few key topics, the most signficant of which has been the introduction of biosimilars to the NHS. James is a member of NHS England’s National Biosimilars Group as well as the Biosimilars Sub-Group of the PMSG.
